Single Piece Embroidered Rectangular Cushion

Many Ayauchano weavers are descendants of the Wari culture and follow a tradition that dates back 2,700 years.
Each embroidery is a unique piece that reflects the history and technique of each mother from various Andean communities. The embroidery is 100% by hand with sheep or alpaca threads on loom fabrics, all dyed in a natural way with local plants from Ayacucho, using the traditional pedal loom and in some cases the waist loom. Sheep wool or alpaca fiber is delicately spun on the pedal spinner or spinning stick.
